Charlie

A type specimen for “Charlie,” a display typeface I designed. Charlie draws inspiration from stencil lettering and expressive brush strokes, combining structured forms with a sense of controlled imperfection.

The intentional inconsistencies in the letterforms evoke a playful character, reminiscent of Charlie Chaplin. Designed as a display font, Charlie was created for use in promotional materials for a theatre showcasing Victorian-era footage and silent films, capturing the tone and visual language of early cinema.
